DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

Can be delivered in a minimum of 1000 meters, packed in all-steel corrugated trays.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION INSTRUCTIONS

For cables delivered in rolls, the outermost cable, the distance from the edge of the diameterof the corrugated all-steel cable tray is 100mm lower, and the cable is not allowed to bebumped or twisted. Both ends of the cable do moisture-proof.

FAQs

Q1: What do the abbreviations in submersible pump cable model codes mean?

Our submersible pump cable model codes follow a standardized naming system. Each letter in the model designation represents a specific structural feature or material used in the cable construction.

1. Series Code

  • QY – General submersible pump cable
  • QYJ – Lead-sheathed submersible pump cable

2. Shape Code

  • Y – Round cable
  • Flat cable – No code designation

3. Insulation Material Code

  • P – Modified polypropylene insulation
  • YJ – Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation
  • YF – Polyimide-F46 composite film & FEP composite insulation
  • E – Ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) insulation
  • YE – Polyimide-F46 composite film & EPR composite insulation

4. Sheath (Including Inner Sheath) Material Code

  • Q – Alloy lead sheath
  • H – Hypalon (chlorosulfonated polyethylene) sheath
  • N – Nitrile rubber sheath
  • E – Ethylene propylene rubber sheath
  • F – Nitrile-PVC compound sheath

5. Armor Layer Code

  • M – Monel steel tape armor
  • FD – Stainless steel tape armor
  • Galvanized steel tape armor – No code designation

Q2: What is an ESP cable?

ESP cable (Electric Submersible Pump cable) is used to supply power to downhole electric submersible pumps in oil, gas, and water wells. It is designed to withstand high temperature, pressure, and corrosive well conditions.

Q3: What is the difference between round and flat ESP cable?

Round ESP cable is commonly used in standard well conditions with higher mechanical strength. Flat ESP cable is designed for narrow annulus spaces between tubing and casing, making installation easier in limited space wells.

Q4: What materials are used in ESP cable insulation and sheath?

ESP cables use materials such as polypropylene (PP), XLPE, EPR, and polyimide-FEP for insulation. Sheath and armor materials include nitrile rubber, EPR, Hypalon, lead alloy, and stainless steel tape for protection against heat, oil, and corrosion.

Q5: How do I choose the right ESP cable?

Selection depends on well depth, temperature, voltage, and chemical conditions. High-temperature or corrosive environments require advanced insulation systems and stronger armor protection to ensure reliable long-term operation.
